This page is designed to give you some basic information on how to setup your New Web Page.
 

STEP #1
By now, you should have received an E-mail giving you two important pieces of information:
 

USERID
PASSWORD
 
The above will be used when you FTP files to your web page.  Please write them down, they will be used later.

STEP #2
Some FTP software will be needed to add/change/delete files on your Web Site.  There are several FREE FTP programs out there as long as they are for personal use.  One FTP you can use can be downloaded by following the link below and following the instructions:

CLICK ICON TO DOWNLOAD
Once the software is downloaded, just double-click on the file that was downloaded to install!!

STEP #3
Once the FTP software is downloaded and installed, go ahead and run it.  You should see a screen like this:

Click the NEW Button and enter the following information:

Profile Name: Maxiis Home Page
Host Name/Address: homepage.maxiis.com
User ID:  (This is the Userid sent in the E-mail, starts with a "Z")  CASE SENSITIVE
Password:  (This is the Password sent in the E-mail) CASE SENSITIVE
 
NOW, click the Save Pwd Box
THEN, click the Apply Button

Congratulations, you have just set up your FTP account!!!

STEP #4
Now, you can hit the OK button to access the Maxiis FTP Server.  Once you hit OK the following screen will appear:

If you get the above screen, you have made it in!!!!

Here are some pointers to help you along:
 

The Left Side of the Screen is Your Local PC
The Right Side of the Screen is the FTP Server
The Right Arrow will UPLOAD to the SERVER
The Left Arrow will DOWNLOAD from the SERVER
 
SECURITY NOTES
When you first get into the FTP server, you can see all of the directories and the files in them.  Your Web Page will be located under your folder (your userid).  HOWEVER, you cannot delete or change anyone's file except the ones under your own folder(directory).  It is possible to download other users files.
 
STEP #5
 
Now all you need to do is design a web page and load it out there.  There are many HTML editors available on the INTERNET.  You can use INFOSEEK or YAHOO to find them.  Good Luck and happy Webbing.
